FLOW 2013

FLOW, the North Minneapolis Art Crawl, took place this past weekend. Even though the rain on Saturday was a disappointment since it discouraged many folks to come out for the event, we were still able to get the collaborative art piece completed by the end of the day's activities.  The rain also prevented me from being able to sell my artwork and books at the park. I didn't want to risk damaging my merchandise. After the rain subsided at about 4pm, we were finally able to get the art activity underway. I'd say about 20 kids and 4-5 adults participated in the collaboration. The kids had a great time mixing and discovering colors. I am currently in my studio glueing the pieces together and repainting some parts of the design to reveal it.

Delta Luncheon 2013

Here I am selling my artwork at another event! The annual Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Literary Luncheon at the Hilton in Bloomington, MN on Saturday, April 13, 2013. Again the ladies came out and supported me as they do! Gotta love the grandmas and aunties! The books flew out the door! Much gratitude for their business!

Black History Expo 2013

Here is my booth at the Black History Expo at Excel Energy Center in St. Paul MN on 2/23/13. It was a great success! I sold books, prints and original artwork. It was so great to see so many families out and about at this special event!
